Finca Don Cayito is a relatively new farm. It was acquired by the current owner in 2013. It is so named in honour of his great-grandfather Ricardo Calderon, better known as Cayito Brees. They hire Panamanian natives to pick riped cherries from January to April each year. Beside geisha, they also grow caturra, villalobos, catuai and other plants such as avocado, sweet lemon and tangerine The entire Calderon Castillo family works in different positions in the mill and in the management of the plot.
